I have a extremely small blog, maybe 1-2 unique hits a month. I wrote a nice comment about Guy Kawasaki and within 3 hours he found my blog (ranked like 10 millionth) and wrote a reply comment back.
I have seen instances like this before, what program are they using to locate their name used among random small websites accross the web?

1There is a thing called Google Alerts–made by Google, you type in some keywords (for example, your name), and it will set itself up so that as soon as Google’s search engine finds a site with those keywords on it, it sends you an email. It’s great–I use it all the time.
Start using it here: http://www.google.com/alerts
It is possible that this is what they are using.

3Your blog has XHTML: a programming language for computers that contains all of the stuff that you write and the appearance of the web site. It appears in search engines (like google) because the programming language can pull it up. So like others before me, Guy Kawasaki probably just on googled it.

4I use google to search for myself to see who is saying what who is linking to my content and so on so maybe they just did a search of sorts or someone just came and gave you false hope of a real reply
